Gus, 7 months and counting

We are all preparing for the time that Gus starts crawling. We know he is going to be the climber and the one to get into everything around the house. Right now he is content to roll from one side of the room to the other as fast as you can turn around. He hardly stops when he hits the hard floor. You can just see in his face that he doesn't like it as much as on the carpet. Here are a few recent pictures of Gus.

Lilly's Birthday 2011

Lilly turned 5 this year and was excited to celebrate her birthday. She got to pick out the cake and she picked out a Happy Face cake. This caused Dad some pain because he hadn't made an eggless yellow cake before, they have always been chocolate. But Dad found a good recipe and here is the results:

Isn't it Yummy

She loved it and it worked out well. It was a good cake. She got some legos and a dress up princess dress, and both girls got easels for coloring and drawing.
They love to draw
Lilly decided that she wanted to go to the Star Wars exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. We decided to go on the Wednesday after her birthday. We are glad we went on a weekday because even then, it was still busy. She loved it and wants to go back and see some more. It was a fun trip.

Christmas

We went down to Utah for Christmas 2010. I was working at Deer Valley again so it worked out well to be there for the Family.

Sarah's Birthday

Sarah had here third birthday on Sunday, Sep. 19th.  Well, sort of.  Mom and Dad decided it was better to wait until the following Saturday to throw her a party.  She still got a present on Sunday.
This looks cool, what does it do?
She got a M&M dispenser from Grandma so that she can hopefully master the potty.

We decided to go to a park opening down by Daddy's work on Saturday.  Let's say that it wasn't planned very for the number of people that attended and Sarah was a little tired.  She didn't last the whole time.

Sarah decided that she wanted a lady bug cake.  Dad's attempt at this was decent but he has a far way to go to match the talent over Grandma Mc.

The frosting didn't stay in place very well.
She still liked it and she loved blowing out the candles on Sunday.

Got to love that smile
We had some friends over on Monday for FHE, and to hold a little party for Sarah.

She knows how to open
Lilly wants to share with Sarah's presents
I think we need to make sure that this policy of having a week plus for birthdays doesn't continue.

Big Sisters

Lilly and Sarah love taking care of their new brother.  It is first thing they talk about when people ask them about something.  It is cute.
Lilly can't decide between posing and holding

Gus is also one to spend a lot more time on the floor.  I don't think Lilly or Sarah was as happy spending time on the floor.
I love him
